Engagement is important to us

STEICO supports charitable organisations and projects

We believe that business and social responsibility go hand in hand. As a company, we have a social and environmental responsibility not only to our employees. We also want to give something back to society in the regions where we operate, through activities and support for charitable organisations and projects that help improve social coexistence as a community or demonstrate a commitment to ecology and climate protection.

Christmas 2024 fundraising campaign

For our Christmas 2024 fundraising campaign, we asked our team to suggest charitable initiatives in each of the countries where STEICO has a presence, i.e. Germany, France, the UK and Poland. We are delighted that so many of our employees took part and, in some cases made very personal suggestions.

In addition to environmental projects, the STEICO team has a clear focus on social initiatives with a local connection.

We have made a selection from all the suggestions submitted and are supporting the following initiatives:

The aim of the work is to restore and stabilise the diverse functions of ecosystems, to make the volunteers involved aware of the importance and acute threat to the natural foundations of life, and to help drive forward the necessary socio-ecological transformation in society.

Bergwaldprojekt e.V. has been recognised by the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation as a UN Decade Project for the Restoration of Ecosystems.

Kinderkrebshilfe Ebersberg e.V. supports children and young people with cancer who are being treated as in-patients or out-patients on the 'Intern 3' ward at the Dr von Hauner Children's Hospital in Munich. Donations are used to improve the living, care and treatment conditions of the young patients. All members of the organisation work on a voluntary basis. Low administrative costs of less than 2% guarantee donors that their valuable support is well spent.

Principles of Kinderkrebshilfe Ebersberg e.V:

  • The organisation does everything in its power to help sick children to improve their quality of life during their illness or to increase their chances of survival.
  • The support of individual children and their families is based solely on their needs.
  • The ward team, not the charity, decides on the need for purchases or funding within the limits of available resources.
  • The charity has no influence on the internal affairs or organisation of the unit.
