The unique STEICO range of heavy-duty engineered wood products and stable woodfiber softboards is ideal for constructing ecological and high-quality doors for interior and exterior use. The assortment consists of:
- Stabilizers and scantlings from Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL)
- Cover sheets from Natural Fiber Boards (Hardboards)
- Door fillings from woodfibre softboards, made either in the wet process or the dry process
Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) for stabilizers and scantlings
Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) is a high-performance wood-based material which fits perfectly to future oriented door constructions. As a stabilizing material it is characterised by the highest load-bearing capacity and dimensional stability. It is technically dried and absolutely homogeneous – no shrinkage or twisting
STEICO LVL is ideal for functional doors:
- Properties suitable for variable moisture environments
- Dry delivery with only 9% moisture content
- Manufacturing process removes foreign bodies
- High fixing withdrawal strength
Heavy door fillings - woodfiber softboards from the wet process
The wood fiber door fillings (STEICOcore) from the wet process are characterized by a particularly high raw density and are therefore ideally suited for outstanding sound insulation.
In addition, they are particularly ecological and support a healthy indoor climate, as the board bonding is done exclusively with the wood's own lignin and no external adhesives are needed. The high quality door panels deliver extra high compression strength and a wide variety of formats and thicknesses.
Light door fillings – woodfiber softboards from the dry process
The wood fiber door fillings (STEICOcore dry) from the dry process are characterized by a particularly light weight and at the same time very good thermal insulation properties. Soft fibreboards are the ideal core for functional doors:
- Glass openings possible
- High compression strength – easy processing of the external layers
- Optimum insulation properties are ideal for external entrance doors
Door lining from Natural Fiber Boards (Hardboards)
Natural Fiber Boards (Hardboards) are high-density wood fibre boards manufactured using a wet process. The boards are bound solely by the wood's own lignin, so no external glues are used. This makes the hardboards so ecological. Hardboards are characterised by their stability and tough elastic properties. This makes them particularly suitable for door linings.
