Does timber offer a construction method that provides tangible benefits to make it a system of choice for the construction sector?
Together with strong partners, we offer customers and builders in the UK the highest quality and security.
The Alliance for Sustainable Building Products (ASBP) is a non-profit, mission driven organisation, with an ever-growing membership alliance of forward-thinking companies and institutions from across the built environment sector.
Our mission: “To lead the transformation to a healthy low carbon built environment by championing the understanding and use of demonstrably sustainable building products.”
The Natural Fibre Insulation Group (NFIG) is a collective of ASBP members who are the leading manufacturers and suppliers of natural fibre insulation in the UK. The purpose of the group is to work collaboratively to better communicate the many benefits of natural insulation products and systems.
As building offsite solutions in timber are gaining traction across the industry, the STA's mission is to enhance quality and drive product innovation through technical guidance and research, underpinned by a members' quality standard assessment - STA Assure. This scheme offers reassurances to the construction community that our members meet or even exceed current legislation and regulatory requirements.
TRADA (The Timber Research and Development Association) is an international membership organisation dedicated to inspiring and informing best practice design, specification and use of wood in the built environment and related fields.
TRADA is providing independent, authoritative design and technical guidance through their website, on-line software, printed publications, e-books, and a telephone helpline. They link specifiers and purchasers with timber industry members through a "Find a supplier" directory.
The Timber Trade Federation (TTF) ist the UK's foremost membership body for the timber supply chain. Our members constitute timber importers, merchants, agents and manufacturers and account for around two-thirds of the £10 billion UK Timber Industry.
TTF have been supporting timber traders for over 125 years and have seen climate change become a defining feature for the government, regulators and customers. As well as supporting their members’ interest, they work to maintain and enhance timber’s sustainable reputation at a national, European and international level.
The Passivhaus Trust is an independent, non-profit organisation that provides leadership in the UK for the adoption of the Passivhaus standard and methodology. Passivhaus is the leading international low energy, design standard. Over 65,000 buildings have been designed, built and tested to this standard worldwide.
The Trust aims to promote Passivhaus as a highly effective way of providing high standards of occupant comfort and health as well as reducing energy use and carbon emissions from buildings in the UK.
