STEICO impact sound insulation receives the Green Collection Award at the Domotex fair

‘Floored by Nature’ is the motto of Domotex 2023 in Hanover, Germany and STEICO fulfils it perfectly with its wood fibre flooring products, according to the jury of the Green Collection Award.

The Green Collection Award is presented at Domotex to honour particularly sustainable products, production processes and committed companies. In order to be able to judge the entries appropriately, an expert jury was put together to view the first exhibits and made a pre-selection as early as November. On the opening day of the fair, the winners were announced and honoured in a festive event. STEICO were honoured to accept the award.

Processing of STEICO underlays

STEICO underlays are natural products. Therefore, the packages should acclimatise for at least 48 hours before processing.

The substrate must be carefully cleaned beforehand. Any existing crack markings, cracks and break-outs must be professionally repaired.

On mineral substrates, a moisture barrier must be laid over the entire surface. The sheets must overlap sufficiently.

Cuts can be made with a sturdy knife / cutter and ruler / angle.

STEICO underlays are laid in a single layer in a loose bond with sufficient butt joints. Cross joints are to be avoided.

An edge distance of 10 mm must be maintained from rising building components and penetrations.
